Extensive works to the building included the CAT A fit out of two office floors, inc. re-modelling of associated lift lobbies with new design lighting and wall finishes. WCs to two floors received light refurbishment and the common parts redecorated throughout. The dated 1960’s reception was re-designed to offer a spacious lounge reception area, with soft seating, a new bi-folding entrance, new stair access to the first floor, and a modern contemporary theme adopted throughout using bespoke architectural lighting and specified surface finishes.
The building remained occupied throughout the project. The West 1 team therefore needed to coordinate the work, associated supplier’s deliveries and transfers to minimise any noise, disruption and mess that could impact the existing occupants. The reception was a high traffic area, being the only access route for new business clients and occupiers alike. All works to the reception area were therefore undertaken out of hours between 6pm and 5am. All areas received a full clean every morning to ensure they were clear and safe for the buildings tenants.
